From the President

The summer of 2010 is upon us and with that brings change to our Chapter.  On June 23rd, National President Andre DiMino swore in the new 2010/2011 Executive Committee for our Chapter.  It was an honor to have Andre and his wife Jenny attend our last meeting and be part of this special evening.  Thanks Andre and Jenny

First things first-I must thank our previous President, Richard Orsini.  In the two years of his Presidency our chapter reached new levels.  Isn't that what a President is supposed to do, leave things better than when they started?  Well Rich you did-a big thanks to you.

So as we relax and enjoy the couple months off from our organized meetings, it gives me a chance to think about some things I'd like to get accomplished during my term.  How can we optimize the talent of our members to reach new levels?  What sort of fundraising events can we hold?  Who do we assist who needs it?  Isn't next year our 25th anniversary?  What's up with that?  A lot of questions to be answered.

First thing is--our members.  Last year was a great year for bringing in new members into the Chapter, we swore in some A+ individuals that I know will add GREAT value to our Chapter.  I'm looking forward to hearing some great idea's from all of our members and welcome the dialogue at our meetings.  New idea's will create new energy and a feeling of belonging.  So feel free to share either at our meetings or call or e-mail me.  Secondly, our motto is "Service Above Self", let's look at ways to become even more visible in our community.

As we continue remember those less fortunate.  Perform a random act of kindness every day.  Make someone smile daily and remember to smile yourself.

God Bless You and see you in September,

John Borgese
